The laws of motion:
1) There is no action without reaction
2) Motion is continuous, it never stops
3) Motion always originates in a state of disequilibrium tending towards equilibrium.
4) Equilibrium is itself in motion.
5) There is no motion without a fixed point
6) Motion highlights the fixed point
7) The fixed point, too is in motion
We must be careful to make a genuine distinction in evaluating the work between "becoming/being" the image by completely identifying with it and illustrating it. Konstantin Stanislavsky was fond of quoting Nikolai Gogol's statement: "Anybody can imitate an image, but only a true talent can become an image." An illustration is merely an imitation of the external characteristics of the image, successful though it may be."
